Our Grads!


Jada Danielle Lee
Jada is a graduate of Summit High School. She is the daughter of Jamale and Nichole Lee, and the grandaughter of Dennis and Janet Lee. Honors include AB Honor roll, Best Defensive Player, and volunteered donation blood drive. She plans to attend TCC for two years and then transfer to the University of Houston, major in psychology, and become a therapist.


Elaine Marie Miles
Elaine graduated from Texas Women's University, receiving a Master of Fine Arts in Dance, December 2024. Parents: Howard H. Miles, Cheryl Bassett. Grandparents: W. A. Miles & Henry Jewel Miles. Uncle: The late Rev. Roderick Miles.
Performed at 25th Annual African Cultural Festival at University of North Texas Co-presenter of TWU Dance Department BRAVE Space.
Performed with TWU International Dance Company in Oshun, Choreographed by professional Guest Choreographer, Beatrice Captoe.
Choreographed and presented three dance works along with her final culminating project dance film.
Recipient of 2021 - 2022 GBHEM United Methodist Church Scholarship Program Award.
Recipient of TWU Graduate Student Scholarship for three years and TWU GR Board Authorized Tuition Grant, and Texas Public ED Grant
Co-author and co-instructor of Quakertown Town Hall Lecture Demonstration and performed in Quakertown Stories Student Showcase held at Quakertown Town Hall in Denton, Texas April 2022. (Quakertown was a thriving African American community in the 1920s in Denton, TX that was forced out and displaced to build a city park.)
Inducted in National Honor Society of Dance Arts in Fall 2023.

Since graduation Elaine has choreographed the Disney Descendants Musical Theatre production at Bessie Coleman Middle School in Cedar Hill, Texas and will be presenting her final culminating project dance film here in Saint Andrews this summer.


Chris Mitchell
Christopher G. Mitchell. He is unable to be present today. Chris is a graduate of the State Barber School located in Arlington, Texas, where he completed the Class A Barber Program.
While attending State Barber School, he participated in the following programs:
Back to school programs offering free haircuts to underserved youths. Christmas gifting Community Programs offering free haircuts for the Arlington Community.
Weekly practical theory application sessions at several school locations. Community Barber Shows with competition for prizes in different categories.
Chris has plans to open a small barber shop and eventually a connecting barber college.


Jesse Taylor
Jesse is the son of Erik Taylor (please stand) and the grandson of Melinda Fuller.
Jesse is a graduate of North Crowley High School in Crowley, Texas.
While in high school, Jesse completed the Career and Technical Education program known also as the CTE Program and specialized in Medical Assistant.
Jesse plans to attend Texas Southern University, Houston, Texas, and major in Business.


Journee Warrren
Journee is a a graduate of OD Wyatt High School, Fort Worth. She is a member of the National Honors Society, listed on OD Wyatt Dean’s List, has received the National African-American Recognition Award, and the National First Generation Award. She plans to attend University of North Texas, with a major in Political Science.
Journee is also a graduate of Tarrant County College with a Associates of Arts degree. She is listed on the TCC Dean’s List, and in the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society.
